Growing Vegetables 🫛🫛🥕🥕🥔🥔
3rd Mar 2025
We were delighted to welcome Paddy Madden to our school today. Paddy is a Heritage in School Expert and has a wealth of knowledge about gardening. We sowed peas and onions with Paddy. We sowed peas in our empty milk cartons, in window boxes and also in an old gutter. He showed us how to make a wigwam for our peas when they start growing tendrils. He taught us how to grow carrots in an old bin or barrel. We are looking forward to sowing carrots in April. Paddy also asked us to bring in empty egg boxes so that we could chit the potatoes so that they would be ready to sow around St Patrick's Day.
